Without the assistance of Brownlee & Mann Consulting, the North Little Rock School District would not have been able to receive a $20.8 million grant through the Arkansas Facilities Partnership Program. The approved grant equated to 110,000 square feet of new campus facilities.
I work for Arch Ford Education Services Cooperative as a facilities consultant. I assist 26 school districts in developing six-year facilities master plans and applying for facilities partnership projects. The partnership project grants are through the Arkansas Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation.
The partnership project program has limited funding and is a state wide competitive grant to improve public school facilities by providing a warm, safe and dry environment. The partnership project the North Little Rock School District applied for was the replacement of an existing middle school campus based on current facilities conditions. Without the assistance of Brownlee and Mann Consulting the initial application would not have passed the first stages of being an approvable project.
Through Brownlee and Mann’s thorough inspection of mechanical systems, structural systems and ADA compliances the North Little Rock School District was able to provide the Arkansas Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation the information needed to support the existing facilities replacement needs.
Brownlee and Mann’s report was professional, consistent, concise, and easily presented through photos, backing documentation and source material. The investment versus the return value of employing Brownlee and Mann Consulting was well worth it.
